Shanghai lecture
After successfully holding a series of lectures in 2007 and one in the early 2008, Medjaden once again, organized three lectures in Shanghai and Xi’an during September-October, 2008, with the cooperation of local universities. We were honored to have Prof. Ren, the Associate Editor-in-Chief of Medjaden, to give speeches on behalf of Medjaden at the Second Military Medical University, Shanghai (25th, Sep, 2008), the Fourth Military Medical University (16th, Oct, 2008), and the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiao Tong University (17th, Oct, 2008), Xi’an. All lectures were well received. We would like to invite you to share with us the enjoyable moments of the lectures. On the 3rd Shanghai International Pancreatology Forum, Professor Ren, an associate editor-in-chief of MJ, delivered an excellent speech entitled “How to Publish an English Medical Scientific Article”, focusing on the entire process of article publication, including writing, submission and revision. He also shared with the audience of his personal experience in SCI paper writing. The lecturer lasted for about 45 minutes. Approximately 300 people attended this lecture. On the 16th and 17th, Oct., Professor Ren gave another two lectures on “Publication in English Medical Journals and Research of Cardiovascular Health” at the fourth Military Medical University and the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiao Tong University, Xi’an, respectively. The two lectures were highly praised by the audience, who found the lectures very helpful. Our co-organizers also expressed their wishes to hold such events again in the near future. In addition to improving the knowledge of English paper writing and publications among Chinese biomedical researchers and doctors, MJ lecture promotion has also improved the image and publicity of the company. We would like to use this opportunity to thank Prof. Ren, as well as the other MJ editors, for your great contribution and support for the development of Medjaden.
